Twenty-two dollars a guest for the full setting, ten dollars for the china on its own, six dollars fifty for five-piece flatware. On a hundred and fifty guests the full setting comes to thirty-three hundred dollars. Cater with Slate and that line comes off the quote entirely.
Those are our published rates, not a range and not a "starting at". Here is what sits behind each of them.
What twenty-two dollars a guest covers
The All-Inclusive setting: a dinner plate, a salad plate, a side plate and a bowl; five pieces of flatware; a charger in your chosen finish; a napkin in your colour; and a ribbed crystal water goblet. Porcelain and glass throughout. We do not offer a disposable version at any guest count.
What the cheaper options leave out
The Place Setting, at ten dollars a guest, is the china and glass without the charger or the napkin. Five-Piece Flatware on its own is six dollars fifty. Individual pieces run from a dollar seventy-five for a side plate to three dollars for a coffee cup, and single pieces of flatware are a dollar fifty each — useful if you already own most of a table and are filling a gap.

A hundred and fifty guests is about twenty-five tables, so linen for the room is four hundred and fifty dollars and a candelabra on every table is eighteen hundred and seventy-five. Most couples take one of those two and leave the other.
What is not in those numbers
Care and handling is twenty percent of the order. It is one line, not two, and it covers washing along with ordinary chips and losses — so nothing gets rinsed in a hotel sink at one in the morning and nothing gets negotiated afterward. Oklahoma sales tax is 8.625 percent. A fifty percent deposit holds the date and the balance falls due fourteen days out.
Anything broken beyond ordinary wear is billed at the replacement price printed on your contract, so the number is agreed before the event rather than argued after it.
The one way the place setting costs nothing
Cater with Slate at Founders Tower and the All-Inclusive setting is included for every guest. Not discounted — removed. On a hundred and fifty guests that is the thirty-three hundred dollar line gone off the quote.
We can do that because it is already upstairs and we are already in the kitchen. Nothing has to be ordered, trucked, counted or sent back. A couple feeding a hundred and fifty people in this room is already paying for the hard part of the evening; the china is the easy part, and we would rather hand it over than itemise it.
Couples with a booked date at Slate who are not catering pay fifteen percent below the published rates on everything instead. There is no code to remember — it is applied when the contract is drawn.
What else people ask about price
How much does a wedding place setting rental cost per guest in Oklahoma City?
Our All-Inclusive setting is $22 per guest and includes three plates, a bowl, five-piece flatware, a charger, a napkin and a ribbed crystal water goblet. The Place Setting, which is the china and glass without the charger or napkin, is $10 per guest. Five-piece flatware on its own is $6.50 per guest.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum guest count. A fifty percent deposit is non-refundable and holds the date; the balance is due fourteen days before pickup, which is also the last point at which the count can come down.
What does the care and handling charge cover?
Twenty percent of the order, as a single line. It covers washing and laundering, and ordinary chips and losses. It is a fee rather than a deposit and it is not returned. Anything broken beyond ordinary wear is billed at the replacement price printed on the contract.
The cheapest thing on a wedding quote is the line that is not on it.
