Most of them do, for a fee, inside a window you do not control. We do not deliver at all — and for an event at Founders Tower that is the whole advantage, because the collection is already in the building.
That is the short answer. The longer one is worth four minutes, because delivery is the single line on a rental contract that causes the most trouble on the day and gets the least attention when you sign.
What delivery normally costs you
A fee, first, which is usually quoted per trip and goes up for stairs, for distance, and for anything outside business hours. Then a window — a three or four hour span in which the truck may appear. Then a count-in, where somebody on your side verifies that what came off the truck matches what you paid for, on a morning when nobody has a spare twenty minutes.
Then the same thing in reverse at the end of the night, and a damage conversation some days later with a company that has never seen your room.
Ask any planner what actually goes wrong on a wedding day and the answer is rarely the cake or the band. It is the count. It is the truck at eleven instead of nine, with ninety-six chargers instead of a hundred and twenty, and somebody deciding quickly and alone which four tables get something else.
What happens instead if your wedding is at Slate
Nothing moves. The collection lives on the twentieth floor of Founders Tower, at 5900 Mosteller Drive, in the same building as the room your guests will eat in. It has never been on a highway. It has no delivery window, because there is no delivery, and it cannot be late because it is already there.
On the morning of the event our team sets the tables — three plates, a bowl, five pieces of flatware, a charger in your finish, a napkin in your colour, a ribbed crystal goblet. After the last guest leaves, they clear it. You do not count anything in, you do not count anything out, and nobody stacks china into a crate at midnight in a dress.
What happens if your event is somewhere else
You collect it yourself, which turns out to be the point rather than the catch. Pickup is by appointment at Founders Tower, in the morning and before noon, and the order is held across a four-day window around your event — so you are never waiting on somebody else's driver on the one day you cannot afford to.
Everything is counted with you at both ends and the sheet is signed on the spot. That is the other argument we would rather not have three days later.
When a delivery company is the better answer
Sometimes it is, and we will say so on the phone rather than after the deposit. If nobody in your party can collect, if your venue is an hour out, or if your guest count runs past what we hold, you want a delivery house and you want one that is good at it.
What we hold: three hundred and fifty of each plate, three hundred of each charger finish, four hundred water goblets and thirty candelabras. That covers roughly two hundred and fifty guests across about forty-two tables. Above that we are the wrong call. Four hundred gold chargers on a lawn in Guthrie is not a job for us.

How far ahead of my event do I collect?
Orders are held across a four-day window around your event, so the pickup rarely has to happen on the day itself. We book a morning slot with you so somebody is on site to count the order into your car.
Do I have to wash the china before I return it?
No. Scrape the plates and return everything in the crates provided. Washing is covered by the care and handling charge of twenty percent, which also covers ordinary chips and losses, and it is done in our own kitchen.
